Caroline Corby Studio 16
Caroline was born in England where she attended the London School of Art and Design attaining her diploma in Sculpture.
Most of her works were abstract using a variety of materials from bronze, fibreglass, wood and stone.
Later while raising her family Caroline lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 years but due to a limited supply of art materials
she turned to making Batik pictures and wall hangings.
These works depicted local people in the markets and architecture in the ancient parts of the city.
She also spent several years in Nigeria discovering amazing African sculpture and ceramics that have had a lasting affect on her work to this day.
In 1991 Caroline immigrated to Australia .
Here she has been working in two dimensions painting in oils and drawing .
She has also been rediscovering an old love of ceramics making mainly functional pieces
Caroline loves living and working in Australia and has settled in Bundeena where she has a studio.
She sells her work through the Bundeena and Maianbar Art Trail as well as exhibiting around Sydney.
