Rosemary Galceran Studio 12
I have always been very passionate about visual artistic surroundings in my life and have always gravitated to colour and patterns, whether on clothing, walls, furnishings or Art.
“Folk Art Painting” in the early 90’s led me to an unusual style of painting, from Australian Wild Flowers to German Folk Art called “Bauernmalerie. I commenced traditional Art classes in 2010 where I was instilled a more “realism” style of painting.
In 2013 I commenced with Sydney Art School under the wings of a couple of great teachers – learning some valuable drawings skills and painting in the style of “Alla Prima: (Italian, meaning at first attempt).
I retired from my “have to job” as HR Manager and moved to Bundeena. At the time we moved to be near the ocean, but to my delight and most gratifying stumble, I found a community of artistic splendour which has now given the opportunity to continue to create.
My artwork changes and my style also along the way. I enjoy painting seascapes, however some of my loved pieces come from my found enjoyment in meditation and exploration where it leads to a wonderful world of imaginary style of art. I do experiment an enjoy acrylics, oils and mixed media, when asked “what is your style of painting?” I hesitate to answer as I don’t think I could just be creating one style - It will always be different, colourful and creative. Perhaps its either “controlled” or “experimental’’ – that’s my style
