| I work mainly from
black and white negative film. Reportage and documentation of the
social and political life of Sydney has occupied much of my time in
recent years. This work has resulted in exhibitions for the Italian
migrant organization FILEF on refugees (2003, 2004) and theatre
backdrops for the New York Fringe festival (2004). The two annual Bundeena art shows are an opportunity for me to show more local and landscape photography, as well as some of my drawings and printmaking. I participated in a group show of Bundeena photographers at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery in May 2003 – an amazingly diverse exhibition! Recent experiments incorporating my drawings with photoshop have been a lot of fun and will result in a body of work very different to my black and white photographs. My involvement in photography began with my first job in a camera shop at age fifteen and has lead to an interest in all art forms. I am currently completing formal art training (Dip Fine Art) and find the technical training and contact with other artists of all ages really stimulating. |
