includes both Black and White and Colour Photography. She is
completing a Diploma in Fine Arts specialising in
Photography and Sculpture. “The Art of Photography for me is the drawing of a picture with light. It is a medium that has been of interest for a good number of years. It allows for the expression of ideas not just the creation of images. Be it abstract, landscape or figurative. It is not only a way of documenting an event, but a way of documenting ideas.” “The construction of the image within the frame is very important. It is utmost in my mind when shooting an image. I only crop an image when it will add drama or focus on an important area of the work.” “Colour and its ability to create mood, drama or pathos is also a way of expressing ideas about the subject. The landscape and its every changing way from the fire of renewal to the decay of the old is often in my minds eye.” |
