| Jing Jing Mo was born
in China and began to learn line drawing, gouache and Chinese
calligraphy in high school. In 1999, Jingjing entered the Hunan
Business College and majored in Art and Design, specializing in
advertising and graphic design. At college, Jingjing took part in the
‘Exhibition of the Chinese Advertisement Seminar’ in 2001 and also had
part-time jobs in several advertising agencies. One of her designs,
named ‘Big and Small’, was selected for the annual Art Academy of China
Student Exhibition. Jingjing received her bachelor's degree in 2003 and then worked as a graphic designer in Beijing for two years. She took part in the design and manufacture of many painting works, such as the Chinese Paint, Bing He's Sketch of Tibet, Just in Case. From 2004, she became the assistant to the venerable Chinese painter Bing He, helping Bing He by designing the publications ‘Selected Works of Bing He’ and the ‘Chinese Painter Bing He in Bundeena’. She also assisted in organizing the exhibition of Bing He's works in Beijing. In August 2006, Jing Jing came to Bundeena, Australia for the first time. Her involvement with the Art Trail began through her association with Bing He and she joined herself soon after. She traveled to Mungo National Park with a group of artists and her photographs were exhibited at Hazelhurst Gallery in April 2007. Now Jing Jing is deeply in love with wonderful Bundeena and its people and wishes to live here longer so that she can continue her work and have more of an opportunity to communicate with and learn from other artist. She has opened a small gallery ‘Morgan Arts’ on Brighton Street. |
