| Growing up in Lilli
Pilli on the shores of the Port Hacking River and the World's second
oldest National Park, much of Aaron’s work reflects his personal
impressions and observation of this relationship with nature. He also
draws on the knowledge that his paternal ancestors the Native American
(Cherokee) have a special harmony and commitment to the environment. Being drawn to the more creative subjects Aaron attended Wollongong University studding for a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree in Sculpture, Painting and Theatre Technology and Aesthetics with Film. On leaving university he travelled extensively for several years backpacking around Britain and Europe working as a mural artist. His travels have taken him to the Arctic Circle, Eastern Block, China and earlier travels to America and the South Seas. Aaron now resides in Maianbar on the Port Hacking River adjacent to the Royal National Park where he has opened his studio gallery to the "Art Trail". Participating in local community Art Exhibitions, and is a committee member of the "Art of living Festival." These works often bright can sometimes reveal on impasto texture and Incorporate the environment. All objects are borrowed from nature not stolen, power given not taken, and therefore are hand sculptured by the artist. "I must give something that I really value~ therefore I promise to give myself in my Art." |
