Art in Action
Saturday 29th February & Sunday 1st March 2020
To celebrate its 20 year anniversary the Bundeena & Maianbar Art Trail will be holding a group exhibition on Sunday March 1st this year instead of the regular open studio concept.
This will be held in the Reserve Room of the Bundeena Community & Services Club, 10am - 4pm at 69-71 Loftus St.
Art in Action will simply be that. Visitors can watch art demonstrations or participate and paint, try your hand at pottery throwing and hand building for kids, portrait sketching by one of Australia’s most treasured artists or try your hand at creating stone art, plus painting for children.
You can commission a piece or purchase an artwork from the exhibition and support the Art Trail community.
The exhibition is free of charge and you can make the day a unique experience with a drive through the Royal National Park or travel via the Bundeena Ferry from Cronulla.
Lunch or Dinner at the Club upstairs is a convenient must do.
Art in Action - Portrait Sketch by Jiawei Shen
On Sunday 1st March as part of Art in Action you will have a rare opportunity for a personal portrait sketch by one of the Art Trail's renowned artists Jiawei Shen.
Jiawei Shen has painted portraits for many notable figures including Pope Francis, Princess Mary of Denmark and former Prime Minister John Howard.
A portion of sales will be donated to the Bundeena Rural Fire Service.

Art in Action - Books for Sale
Purchase a signed copy of a book from one our artists.
Art Trail artist Graham Blondel will be selling signed copies of his book “Seriously Laughing” at the “Art in Action” exhibition on March 1st 2020, alongside new works.
Bob Marchant holds a copy of his book “the Drovers Boy” that will be on sale at the Art Trail “Art in Action” exhibition on March 1st. Signed copies starting at $35 or a limited edition Leather Bound version at $100 will be on sale. Better still, buy a Marchant painting a get a copy for free!
Artist Jaiwei Shen with the 340 page book on the life’s work of his artist wife Lan Wang.
Signed copies will be on sale at the Art Trail “Art in Action” exhibition for $30.
